In Honor of Melissa Gulledge
The purpose of our mission is to honor the life and work of a dear friend and dedicated faculty member Melissa Gulledge, whose love, training and concern for our children went far beyond the call of duty.  The opportunity before us is the ability to pay tribute to her by continuing her passion for the little ones.

Some of her friends and colleagues have organized a campaign to name some areas in honor of her service to our school system and to all children with special needs.  We would like to name a room in her memory at the new Hewitt-Trussville High School as well as the state of the art special needs playground at Paine Primary School .  

Special Needs Playground Multiple Handicapped Unit at HTHS All donations can be sent to the Trussville City Schools Foundation and the combined amounts of the donations will be directed towards these naming opportunities in her honor.  Checks need to have “Melissa Gulledge” or “Melissa’s Kids” in the memo line.  Please specify if you prefer the donation go toward the playground or classroom.  The mailing address is:  PO Box 1110, Trussville, AL 35173.  Thank you for your support of this endeavor.

 This website is currently under construction to honor Melissa and to offer information concerning the progress of the playground and room dedication.  We'd like to expand this website to the children and parents that she influenced.  If you have a child that was taught by Melissa Gulledge and would like to put his/her picture on this website, please email Angie Hill (angie@hillsidedrive.com).  Also email any stories that you would like to share - we would like to put them on the testimonials page.

Concerning Donations:  The Trussville City Schools Foundation is a 501(C)(3) tax-exempt organization formed to develop sound financial support for Trussville City Schools, both for present and future needs. Its mission is to mobilize community support for the Trussville City Schools and to secure resources from individuals, corporations, and foundations for the support of the school system that will stimulate each student to reach his or her fullest potential.
